Principal Typology Dualities

Expectation

Two dualities have been identified in association with the Principal Typology:

Oscillating duality

Unfolding duality

The aim of this Topic is to review progress and provide a comparative overview that may provide some illumination.

Oscillating Duality

It is an established principle that all THEE 7-level Hierarchies show an oscillating duality. A general review was provided elsewhere in this Room when investigating the reversal of the pattern of oscillation.

Most of the Principal Typology oscillating dualities have now been identified and explained, as shown in the Table below:

Unfolding duality

Only Principal Typologies and Structural Hierarchies are known to have an unfolding duality. There are two steps in discovery here: first what is the overall «ground state» and the overall «developmental force» for the hierarchy as a whole, and then how does that show up at each level.
